SafetyNet originally consisted of nine inter-related research projects investigating issues related to health and safety in marine and coastal work. SafetyNet is currently involved in five other inter-related projects as the Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) node of the Atlantic Networks for Prevention Research (ANPR). SafetyNet is also a partner in the Eastern Canada Research Consortium on Workplace Health and Safety which supports inter-provincial networking, knowledge transfer (KT) and interdisciplinary training and research development related to workplace health and safety.
